The origional German edition is cheaper and not much more difficult to use.

The original "Handbuch der literarischen Rhetorik" is far and away the finest reference work on canonical rhetorical forms. But at the only price for which it is offered here, namely $1,202.00, one would really be far better off brushing up on one's German, Latin, Greek or French, since the work is indexed in all of those languages, although, strangely enough, not also in English.

To succeed in the increasingly competitive and complex field of public relations, students need be able to develop, hone, and synthesize technical skills with the theoretical foundations and communication principles that drive the practice. Kent's 13-chapter text, Public Relations Writing: A Rhetorical Approach to Public Relations, provides the perfect blend of the practical and theoretical foundations required for students to develop a deeper understanding of the field, and the complex role that it plays in the contemporary society as well as the global community.

Based on the premise that rhetoric shapes reality, or as Burke explains, "creates the screens through which we view reality," Kent succinctly illustrates the rhetorical nature of public relations messages (ch. 2). Regardless of whether the objective is to inform, persuade, move, or create shared narratives, Kent clearly shows how public relations messages can shape what stakeholders and publics know and believe about reality. The communication principles driving ethical and moral decisions are also addressed. Kent provides an exceptional overview of the dialogic theory of public relations (ch. 10), and ethics and regulatory issues are also covered in Chapter 13). Kent also addresses the impact of globalization by dedicating chapters to writing for international and intercultural audiences (ch. 11).

Of course the content is good, but warning, the font size is TINY!!!

I've read the 2007 edition of this book several times borrowed from the library and decided to get my own copy. When I saw this 2012 reprint edition I thought 'it's only paperback, same book' and at a marketplace bargain of $2 (+shipping), I couldn't resist. I should have. Had I known/seen the font size (I'm no expert, but it looks like if the average size is 10-12, this must be a 6) in person, even at that price, I would have passed on it. Seriously, it's kind of disrespectful to the reader. You can see the text, but is unnecessarily small. It's a risk you take when buying things online, which is why I felt the need to post a review to warn others. Again, the content is solid, very good, but you have to be able to comfortably read it. I can't tell you how disappointed I am.

I think it should be noted that the Prosperity bible is a collection of popular books that have been on the market for years and that each of the 19 books cost about $10-$15.00 each. So really, this book is worth a minimum of $285. That maximum that its worth depends on your! This is The Prosperity Bible! And you must belive, practice and do the teachings of these writings.

This book is a collection of new Thought books which teach that the creation of the universe as you experiance it, espcially your day to day life, is the mirror image of your dominate thoughts and beliefs. These are a collection of popular authors spanding over 100 years. I am a recovering alcoholic and I thank Jean Kirkpatrick for my sobriety today. Ms. Kirkpatrick is the founder of the Women for Sobriety "New Life" Program which is the first self-help recovery program exclusively for women. Women For Sobriety groups are world-wide and offer support for the alcoholic woman. This book was my first step toward sobriety. I now attend AA meetings and have been sober for 14 months.
If you are female and think you have a drinking problem, don't delay in getting this book.

Compelling writing, awful story about a successful woman falling into alcoholism. She was lucky to have some almost-saintly friends to help her along. I wish it had talked more about her founding of Women for Sobriety - seemed rushed through at the end.

About the Author
Escritor, Músico, Programador Neuro-Linguista, Productor, Traductor y Entrenador Personal entre otras cosas, Leopi es una de las personas más carismáticas, convincentes y hábiles del planeta en cuanto a comunicación se refiere. Nació en la Ciudad De México, y siendo un chiquilín tímido e inseguro decidió dedicarse a la música para poder ¨competir¨ con otros hombres y lograr algun día conquistar a la mujer de sus sueños. Fué en ésta época cuando empezó a maquinar sus divertidas teorías de cómo hacerse más atractivo al sexo opuesto. Después de estudiar la Licenciatura en Composición Musical en el C.I.E.M. Leopi empezó su carrera en los entrenamientos mentales trabajando en mas de 200 cursos de Programación Neuro Linguística, Design Human Engineering y Neuro Hypnotic Repatterning con gente de la talla de Richard Bandler, John Lavalle y Gabriel Guerrero, dondé aprendió aún mas herramientas que le darían el toque final a lo que hoy es El Efecto Leopi. Todos esos años puso a prueba sus teorías en sí mismo y tiempo después en otros sujetos hasta llegar a conclusiones probadas efectivamente en la práctica callejera. Ahora da cursos por todo el mundo en lugares como Colombia, Irlanda, España y México entre otros, así como asesorías personalizadas y "terapias de cambio". Leopi emana una actitud que hace que sea agradable instantáneamente y extremadamente exitoso cuando se trata de conocer - seducir y ganarse el corazón, la mente y el cuerpo de mujeres alrededor del mundo. Además en sus seminarios, libros y entrenamientos personales enseña esto de una manera muy entretenida y original, con historias, técnicas y herramientas impresionantes.

Yo lo compré con el propósito de querer conquistar el corazón de alguien más y termine por aprender a amarme y conquistarte a mi misma, para entonces estar preparada para compartir mi vida con alguien más
